Sunday Best...

Linking up with Grace over at Camp Patton because she cracks my crud up and I'm addicted to reading about her wonderfully awful (precious) children that will one day grow into similar versions of my wonderfully awful (pretty but not always precious) pidglets.  Naw, I like em... but if they were ugly, we might have few problems... just trickin'.

Anyway... I was thinking that all of my 2.3 readers might enjoy going over to visit her.

Well, let’s just start off by saying.  I can’t tell you what’s wrong with me either.  I see these cutsie lil ‘fashion’ post link ups and used to, I never would even think about it.

Now, I do it because I feel the need to make a mockery of myself sometimes over and over.  Considering the last fashion link up I joined I did my own special version the Yard Work"edition.  I don’t think they were really impressed; I on the other hand am still giggling.

Sunday best you say?  Okay… well my lazy self didn’t change out of my dress today so it just so happened to be a fine time (while raining mind you) to go and take pics in the humidity.  Because that’s the best right?

I decided this time I would be serious.

I lie a lot.

There’s something about Busy having a camera and me in front of it that just starts me going.  The faces, I can’t explain; the dancing and poses it's natural really.  I just can’t look into the lens or even have it pointed at me and be serious.  She just snaps away like it’s a freaking short movie.  It goes both ways really.

The other day I told Busy, “Geez, you can’t be freakin’ serious when I take your picture, what’s up Busy?”  I will never say that to her again.  It’s evidently hereditary.

It was a good day.  E was ordained as a deacon which was really nice.  Then my parents came over and Busy my lil baker made us gluten free (worth dying for) chocolate cupcakes.  We didn’t tell my daddy they were GF until after he gobbled it up so he didn’t say, “Hey these aren’t your usuals.”  Haha!  Love you Daddy!  and he didn't even notice because they're so good!

Trying to take pictures is exhausting to me and grueling to say the least.  I mean we were pushing like 3 maybe 4 minutes and I had at least managed to stay on the same porch.  I look like I could be a double for Weekend at Bernie's.

Like you’re interested…

Dress:  From my oldest daughter Bailey who has abandoned us for college and a fiancĂ© and now doesn’t have to associate with our antics.  (Do you think that was enough guilt to get her to move back? No?  Okay, I’ll keep working on it…)
Bare Feet:  My parents

Oh and yep, I sure did wear my hair like that.  Hey, I showered today what more do you want from me?

Have a great week because I’m not really planning on it. I don’t want to set my expectations too high.  You know, then I’ll be all disappointed if I don’t have one.  So I’m looking at mediocre.  Then anything else will be a nice surprise.  (wink)

  6. omg. um. I want to look as good as you before I had kids. wow. hot mom alert.

  8. I'm so glad that you stopped by my blog, because I NEED to be a follower here!! You look fab, and are hilarious....but seriously, you have kids in college?? I will be posing with a walker when my kids are in college. That will be hot! :)

  9. You are so adorable! And I love that Weekend at Bernies pic, haha. Hilarious!

  10. Gotta love families who pass clothes around. I get lots from my 'little' sister. I know several people who get really goofy the moment a camera is pointed at them. For me, I stand up straight and smile nicely because I swear my parents much have somehow hypnotized me/trained me all too well into thinking that is the only possible option when a camera is pointed in my general direction.

  11. You know I loved this post but most importantly....E's a Deacon?

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment. I heart them oh so much!
